I’ve had Altenew’s Handpicked Bouquet stamp set for a while and I absolutely love it. It’s a really great Layering stamp that is a large floral piece. This makes it easier to Stamp without taking away the beauty of the stamp.
As sad as it is there will always be a need for a Sympathy card. So why not use a beautiful stamp set like this one to provide a bouquet that won’t fade and hopefully will provide a touch of comfort.
I started off stamping Altenew’s Handpicked Bouquet on a panel. Of Neenah Solar White cardstock using Altenew’s Crisp Dye Inks in Jet Black.
I opted for a yellow theme. For the flowers and stamped all od thr flower layers using Citrus Burst, Maple Yellow and Honey Drizzle. I completed the Stamp’s greenery layers using ‘Firefly’ and ‘Grass Field’.
I used the coordinating die to cut out the Handpicked Bouquet so I could use it as a riased element on the final card. I love Thermoweb’s purple tape to hold my dies in place when running through my die cutting machine for security.
I wanted an other element on my card but wanted something subtle. I used Altenew’s Wavy Grid Stencil, Morning Frost Dye Ink and Pickett Fence’s Blender Brushes to create a diagonal ‘glow’ that will be behind the floral bouquet on the final card.
I added a sentiment using Altenew’s Build A Flower: Sakura Blossom stamp set.
To add a raised element I added bits of Simon Says Stamp’s Big Momma Foam Adhesive Roll to the back of the die cut Bouquet and strategically placed it diagonally across the main panel measuring approximately 3.75×4.75 inches.
I adhered this to a panel of iridescent cardstock measuring approximately 4×5 inches. Finally I popped the panel up using some craft foam and adhered it to a card base measuring approximately 5.25×4.5 inches. Hopefully this card will bring some peace to a family in mourning.
