AAA Cards Game #145 – Hope

I’ve developed a love for the look of a clean and simple card. Do I struggle every time with keeping things clean and simple? YES!

However, this week’s challenge from AAA Cards Game #145: One Image with Optional twist as positivity was simple for me. The very first thing that popped into my head was ‘survivor’. In particular my mother as a breast cancer survivor and the message of hope to anyone struggling with this terrible disease. I lost my Aunt to the disease, my Grandmother struggled with it, my Uncle struggled… Even two of my cousins’ baby girls struggled with cancer.

So this is something that really hits home for me this week. Extremely personal? Yes… But if this post motivates, inspires or just gives someone a smile… Then I’ve succeeded and am happy.

Here is this week’s challenge :

Here is my submission :

I kept it super simple. I used stamps from Impression Obsession’s ‘Survivor’ stamp set Catherine Pooler Dye Ink in ‘Its a girl’ for the ribbon to symbolize breast cancer in particular. I stamped a beautiful sentiment from the same set.

I used Simon Says Stamp’s Wonky Rectangle Border Die to cut down the panel then adhered to a card base measuring 4.25×5.5″.

Featuring:

– Impression Obsession (IO) Clingables: 3201-LG Survivor

– Simon Says Stamp’s Wonky Rectangle Die

– Catherine Pooler Dye Inks – It’s a Girl

– Simon Says Stamp’s Dye ink – Intense Black

– Neenah Solar White cardstock

– Simon Says Stamp’s Cardstock – Cotton Candy
